"Connected": Stress and Enjoying Life

"Stress" is something a lot of people deal with when they're feeling overwhelmed by their daily tasks and expectations, whether their own or others'. Physically, stress can lead to tension and weaken the immune system, and mentally, it can get in the way of our happiness, creativity, and personal growth.

What's it about?

Sure, here's a translation into conversational American English:

A lot of resilience training programs for burnout offer good and practical advice on how to get out of that exhausted state, and at first, the symptoms do improve. But often, people find themselves back in the same downward spiral pretty soon when they're faced with high expectations again because the root causes of their messed-up self-regulation haven't been addressed.

In our seminar, we uncover those root causes and find long-lasting solutions for a happier life.

How does that work?

Gestalt therapy is based on the idea that everyone has the ability to manage their needs and organize their life in a way that keeps them healthy or even helps them grow. But if we can't really feel our needs, or if things like our self-image, fears, and past experiences stop us from standing up for ourselves or saying no to stuff, this balance gets messed up. Then, we can't really assess new challenges or weigh them against what we need.

In this workshop, we learn how to reconnect with ourselves and deal with the demands of our environment. We take a look at how we think, really tune into what we need, and tweak our self-image. We gather energy through our thoughts, feelings, and actions to set boundaries, take what we need, or accept things. All of this is for more satisfaction, inner growth, and development.

For who?

In this workshop, we're here to support folks who want to grow personally, build up their resources, boost their self-efficacy and vitality, and explore and experience their connection to themselves and others. With guidance from experienced therapists, you'll get to know your personal behavior patterns, reduce stress, and get some ideas for making changes.

How does that work?

Here's a translation into casual American English:

We're giving you time to develop. Over four months, we'll cover different aspects of handling stress in 5 modules:

  1. Starting Point: Your wishes, goals, and concerns

  2. Self-Image: Internal motivators and personal beliefs

  3. Boundaries: Handling demands, recognizing needs, and taking personal responsibility

  4. Self-Efficacy: Identifying and strengthening your own resources

  5. Integrating into Everyday Life

Every four weeks, we'll have an evening seminar on each topic. You'll get insights from us, gain experiences, and receive tasks to work on together in small groups (peer groups) between the modules. We'll be available as your coaches or therapist for questions and individual consultations throughout the entire period.
